2 arrested with illicit liquor, charas

Ramban, Apr 7: Doda Police arrested two persons after they recovered illicit liquor and Charas from their possession in Bus Stand Doda and Gandoh on Sunday.

Police sources said on specific information Doda Police arrested a bootlegger along with sillicit liquor from Bus Stand Doda.

Police said Ram Singh, a resident of Bhagwa was arrested.

Similarly a police party of Police Station Gandoh was patrolling in Tippri, Khaljugasar area of Gandoh.

The patrolling party observed suspicious movement of a person who was coming from Khaljugasar side and on seeing the police party he tried to flee from the spot. However acting swiftly the police party apprehended him during his physical search, a Charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.

Police said Maan Raj resident of Seru Khaljugasar Tehsil Gandoh was arrested.

Police have registered two separate case FIR , number 78 under relevant sections of Excise Act at Doda and case FIR , number 25 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act at Police Station Gandoh.
