2 arrested with heroin in Banihal

Ramban, July 7: Ramban Police arrested two persons and recovered 50 grams of heroin from their possession in Banihal town on Sunday.

Police sources said a police party led by SHO Police Station Banihal while performing duty in Banihal town intercepted two suspicious pedestrians who upon seeing the Police tried to flee from the spot however both were apprehended by the alert Police.

They said during frisking 50 grams of Heroin was recovered from their possessions.

Both were arrested on the spot. Police identified both the arrested persons as Mohammad Sadiq Wani son of Late Ghulam Mohd Wani resident of Chinar Gali, Banihal and Farooq Ahmed son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Watnarh Kokernag District Anantnag.

Police have registered a case FIR No. 114 of 2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS at Police Station Banihal.
