2 arrested in Jammu; pistol recovered

Jammu, Apr 14: Jammu police Sunday arrested two persons from Bishnah area and recovered one pistol with one live cartridge.

A police spokesperson said, “On April 13, 2024, a surprise naka was established on Ring road, Bishnah. During routine checking at approximately 3.15 pm, two individuals on a motorcycle, bearing registration No JK21J8706, coming from Vijaypur side, attempted to escape the checkpoint. Despite their attempt, they were overpowered by the alert naka party.”

“Upon questioning, they identified themselves as Rahul Dev, son of Harbans Lal, resident of Khour Salaria, Ramgarh of district Samba and Ravinder Kumar, son of Prem Chand, resident of Rehal Kalandiran, tehsil Bishnah. During the search of these persons, police recovered one pistol along with one live round,” he said.
