1,762 out of 1949 candidates appear in JUET-2025
Jammu, Apr 25: The University of Jammu Friday successfully conducted the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET-2025) for admission to the various Post Graduate Degree and Diploma programmes offered by the University in its main campus and off-site campuses and affiliated colleges.
The JUET was conducted across the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
A spokesperson of Jammu University said that in addition to Jammu, examination centres were established at distant locations - Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Srinagar, Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua, and Udhampur to facilitate the convenience of applicants.
The examination witnessed a commendable turnout and was held in a smooth, fair, and transparent manner.
“A total of 1,949 candidates were allotted various centres, with 1,762 candidates appearing for the test, reflecting an impressive attendance rate. The meticulous arrangements made by the University ensured the seamless conduct of the entrance examination,” the spokesperson said.
As per Centre-wise attendance, MAM College, Jammu, out of 1,307 candidates, 1,179 appeared; in Kathua campus, out of 147, 126 appeared; in Udhampur campus, out of 188, 174 candidates appeared; in Bhaderwah campus, out of 41, 38 candidates appeared; in Kishtwar campus, out of 72, 70 appeared in test; in Government Degree College, Poonch, out of 56 allotted, 47 appeared; in Government Degree College, Rajouri, out of 109 candidates, 103 appeared while in University of Kashmir, out of 29 candidates, 25 appeared in the test.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai along with a Special Flying Squad comprising Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Anju Bhasin; Controller of Examinations, Sanjeev Mahajan and other officials visited various examination centres to oversee the arrangements and ensure the fair and transparent conduct of the test.
Prof Rai expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the examination and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team.
The University with the coordination of the observers and supervisory staff along with the Principals, Rectors and Directors of the various colleges and offsite campuses ensured the efficient execution of JUET-2025. The entire process was conducted in strict accordance with the guidelines and protocols laid down by the University, the spokesperson said.
