Srinagar, July 29: Mahir Wani, a 17-year-old volleyball sensation from Srinagar’s Elite Volleyball Club (formerly Machoova), has been selected to represent India in the 15th Asian Championship. The prestigious tournament, featuring 16 teams from across Asia, will be held in Bahrain from July 28 to August 3.

Known for his exceptional skills, dedication, and sportsmanship, Mahir has been a standout player in the local volleyball scene. Under the expert guidance of coach Muneer Aalam, he has developed into a formidable athlete, impressing selectors with his performances in regional and national competitions.
