14 DySPs placed  as in-charge SPs

Jammu, June 5:  J&K Home department Wednesday placed fourteen Deputy Superintendents of Police (Selection Grade) as in-charge Superintendents of Police (SPs), on stop gap basis, in their own pay and grade.

These Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) included Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari; Mohd Aslam; Ravinder Singh; Chhabil Singh; Mohan Lal; Mohd Aftab Awan; Farooq Ahmad Wani; Mohammad Usman; Nawaz Ahmad; Govind Rattan; Bikram Kumar; Garu Ram; Nihar Ranjan and Fahim Ali.

“The arrangement is made purely in the interest of administration and shall not confer any right on the incumbent to claim preferential treatment for promotion, as and when the same is made in accordance with the relevant rules,” read an order issued by Principal Secretary, Home Chandraker Bharti.

These placements would be without prejudice to the outcome of writ petitions, if any, pending consideration before the courts or Tribunal of competent jurisdiction or any existing or future orders of the courts.
