14 accused declared proclaimed offenders in Rajouri
Rajouri, Nov 23: A court in Rajouri district has declared 14 accused as proclaimed offenders. They are suspected to be hiding in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
These people include a couple who all are believed to have illegally crossed over to Line of Control (LoC) in 2011 and a case under EIMCO was also registered against these.
The proclamation notice has been issued by the court of Munsiff cum Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Kotranka in the district.
The proclamation notice has been issued after SHO Kandi moved an application before the court for this action as the accused are wanted in case of EIMCO but are not appearing before court of law for legal proceedings.
A case under relevant sections of Egress Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance stands registered against them.
Hearing the case, the court observed that general arrest warrants were issued against all the accused on February 16, 2012 but they could not be arrested so far.
The accused against whom proclamation notice has been issued include Mohammad Aslam and his wife Hakam Jaan, Sohbat Ali, Mohammad Sharif, Mohammad Iqbal and Noorani, all residents of Larkuti, Khadim Hussain of Kandi, Mohammad Azam and Gulzar of Gurha Sankari, Ghulam Hussain of Peeri, Muneer Hussain of Gakhrote, Mohammad Shabir of Panjnara, Kala of Dhar Sakri and Zabir Hussain of Kanthol.
