Panchkula, Sep 14: The Chandigarh Circle of the State Bank of India Officers’ Association convened its 13th Triennial General Council on Sunday at the Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector 5, Panchkula. The event drew over 2,000 SBI officers from across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.

Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager of SBI Chandigarh Circle, addressed the gathering virtually. In his inaugural remarks, he praised the association’s efforts and highlighted the critical role played by officers in strengthening the country’s banking system.

The council also heard from Com. Arun Kr Bishoyi, President of AISBOF, alongside senior dignitaries including SBI General Managers Sh. Manmeet S. Chhabra (NW-1) and Sh. Neeraj Bharti (NW-2).

Delegates and senior leaders from multiple SBI circles across the country — including Ahmedabad, Amravati, Bengaluru, Bengal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Northeast, and Patna — participated, making the council a vibrant congregation of officer representatives.

Priyvrat, General Secretary of the SBI Officers’ Association (Chandigarh Circle), said the triennial meeting provided a vital platform for collective discussion on key issues concerning the banking sector, officer welfare, and the association’s future goals.
