10th Bn SSB holds World Environment Day related event
Srinagar, June 5:
Personnel of 10th Bn SSB Batmaloo, Srinagar planted various saplings in the surrounding area of Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial Degree College Bemina to enhance environmental consciousness and sustainability within the college community.
Further, under the banner of Meri life programme spearheaded by 10th Bn SSB Srinagar, a series of activities were organised, with a special focus on fostering stewardship and promoting cleanliness.
An awareness rally from Dal Lake to Sankar Achariya Temple was conducted to underscore the importance of maintaining a hygienic environment by saving energy and undertaking cleanliness drives.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohitashwa, Commandant, 10 Bn SSB said that the collective endeavor not only instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among all personnel but also fostered a spirit of community engagement and collaboration. "As we celebrate World Environment Day, let us reaffirm our dedication to safeguarding our planet and pledge to take concrete actions towards a greener, cleaner and more sustainable future," a statement said.
