Rajouri, Mar 6: Forty five Domestic Transformers (DTs) and 100 electric poles were damaged in recent snowfall across Rajouri distric

Power Development Department said it has repaid all the damaged transformers.

Heavy snowfall occurred in areas of Rajouri district for three days last week. Upper reaches in Thanamandi, Darhal and Kotranka sub division areas received snowfall ranging from one feet to three feet.

In this snowfall, the infrastructure of power supply suffered damages and power supply remained snapped at a number of locations for days together.

Talking to Greater Kashmir, Executive Engineer of JPDCL Rajouri division, Mohammad Rashid said that snowfall in recent days caused damaged to the power infrastructure in the district due to which power supply remain snapped in several areas which, however, was restored at the earliest.
