10-day workshop on capacity building of research scholars begins at SKUAST-K
Srinagar, Dec 6: A 10-day workshop on capacity building of research scholars commenced at Sher-e Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir Shuhama campus on Wednesday.
A statement said that the training is organised by the varsity’s Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry under the World Bank-ICAR funded by the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) for institutional development of SKUAST-K. The workshop aims to provide a holistic learning experience for research scholars, focusing on laboratory techniques and impactful manuscript writing. This integrated approach recognizes the interconnected nature of these skills in producing high-quality research.
HoD, Government Chest Diseases (CD) Hospital, Srinagar and renowned, Prof Naveed Nazir Shah, a renowned pulmonologist, who was the chief guest, emphasised the significance of scientific manuscript writing in advancing research and fostering academic excellence. Prof. Shah acknowledged the role of SKUAST-K in enriching the academic environment among research scholars.
Dean FVSc, Prof Tufial Banday, gave an overview of the 10-day workshop, highlighting its objectives, structure, and expected outcomes. OSD Vice Chancellor, Prof Azmat Alam Khan emphasized that the workshop aims to enhance the research writing skills of participating scholars and foster a culture of high-quality scientific communication.
