1 killed in Samba accident

Jammu, Nov 27: One person was killed and over 20 others sustained injuries when a bus hit the pillar of an under-construction flyover in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district on Thursday.

Police said that a rashly driven bus, on its way from Jammu towards Kathua, hit the pillar after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Following the accident, the driver managed to flee from the spot.

All the injured were immediately shifted to the nearby hospital and AIIMS Jammu. One of the injured, however, was declared dead by the doctors.

Police registered a case in this connection.
