1 killed, 3 injured in Budgam ‘geyser explosion’
Budgam, May 22: A “geyser explosion” claimed the life of a man and injured three other family members in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.
According to officials, four persons from the same family sustained injuries early Wednesday morning due to a “geyser blast” in the Narkara area of Budgam.
The officials said that soon after the incident, they were rushed to a nearby hospital.
One of the injured family members succumbed to his injuries.
He was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gani of Bada Mohalla Narkara.
The injured family members include his wife, Zahida Begum, and sons Ali Muhammad and Mehrab Dar.
During the incident, the residential house was also damaged.
A Police official said that the incident led to the death of one person and injuries to three family members.
“We have proceeded with our official formalities and have taken cognisance of the incident accordingly,” he said.
