1 held with heroin in Gool

Ramban Mar 29: Ramban Police arrested a youth and recovered 16 grams of heroin (Chitta) from his possession in Gool on Friday.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid at Gool and arrested one person with Chitta.

They said a police party of Police Station Gool led by SHO Police Station Gool Inspector Sameer while conducting patrolling duty stopped one pedestrian while checking that 16 grams of Chitta had been recovered from his possessions. Police said Asif Iqbal son of Mohammad Rafiq Najar resident of Shurkundi Dalwah, Gool District Ramban was arrested on the spot and contraband was seized.

They said the investigation of the case is going on to prove backwards and forward linkages. A case FIR No 30 of 2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gool.
