1 awarded life imprisonment in murder case

Rajouri, Jan 25: Addition Sessions Judge Rajouri, Mehmood Chowdhary, has awarded life imprisonment to a murder case accused Romesh Kumar son of Tara Chand resident of Salehri Langri, Tehsil Beripattan district Rajouri.

The case titled State Vs Tara Chand and Ors was registered in FIR no 46/2016 under section 302 RPC of police station Sunderbani. In an official statement Public Prosecutor Shaeen A Khan said that the case was registered on July 19, 2016 when an information was received in the police station Sunderbani through reliable sources that one JiaLal son of Balak Ram and Tara Chand were having enmity due to some to land dispute . Jia Lal along with his family members were ploughing their own land and in the meantime, Tara Chand alongwith other accused and attacked Jia Lal and his family members with lathis and stones resulting in grievous injuries to them. Jia Lal succumbed to injuries.
